          Anais Guimond
          Producer & Director

When this former bungee-trapeze performer plunged into entrepreneurship, she entered unfamiliar territory.  A Quebecer who had been seduced by the Cirque du Soleil at an early age, Anaïs opened her school of circus arts in 2002 in a province and a language that were both new to her.  Although her specialty was relatively unknown to Atlantic Canadians, it didn’t take long for the local population to be captivated by this unique art form. Today, Atlantic Cirque offers classes to over 175 weekly participants, aged three and up, and has expanded to offer summer and spring break camps, workshops, birthday parties, professional development and corporate team building programs.  In addition, the company’s artist agency has been providing entertainment since 2003 with more than 20 professional artists. Anaïs won two entrepreneur awards, 2010 CYBF Best Female Entrepreneur of the Year and 2011 BDC Best Entrepreneur of the Year. She and her team are now developing a 120mins show for Atlantic Cirque's 10th anniversary in 2012.

          Caitlan Anthony
          Assistant-Director

          Picture
Since she was very young, Caitlan has been involved in the performing arts. Starting dance lessons at just the age of four and gymnastic classes in the same year. After several years of recreational and then competitive gymnastics at Alta Caitlan decided to try something new. Switching to Rythmic Gymnastics at age 10 she quickly made her way in the sport. Going to Nationals and even to the 2003 Canada Games where her team placed 8th. After Canada games Caitlan wanted to do something less stressful but still physically demanding. Learning about the school from a friend, Caitlan decided to try it out and joined Atlantic Cirque as a student in 2004. Specializing in Arial Silk and Contortion, Caitlan has done many shows since 2003. Performing in the IWK telethon, Titz & Glitz, Haliwood, Halifax Jazz festival, Canada Games Opening Ceremony and also various business and trade shows just to name a few. Caitlan has been an instructor at Atlantic Cirque since 2007 and has been our Head-Coach since the fall of 2009. In September 2010, Caitlan gets involved even more by adding: Cirque Siana Troupe Coordinator to her title.
